Childline 1098 is a project of the Ministry of Women & Child Development of Government of India (GOI).  It is an emergency phone-line (hybrid of 911 and amber alert in the US) specifically to assist children that are vulnerable and in need of care and protection.  It is implemented in 450+ cities in India through the support of registered non-profit organizations by an offer of Government grant.  We are happy and proud that the GOI had placed their trust in the Hope House to work as one of the two 'Sub Center' organizations of  Vellore district. 

 

Sub Center's primary responsibilities include creating awareness & promoting advocacy in schools and communities apart from extending assistance to the collaborative organization to rescue children that need care and protection.  Our jurisdiction area is the eastern half of Vellore district (Katpadi to Arakkonam).   

 

We want to make this site as simple and as child friendly as we possibly can.
