community outreach program

Objective:  Is to extend assistance to help a family (with children) to remain united in their own community.

'Community Outreach program' or COP is a program that was started in 2008.  COP is used to support the vulnerable families so that they don't break apart with the burden of disease or disability.  We extend this assistance of Rs. 500/- (worth of groceries) each month so that the families can keep their children with thesemselves rather than keeping them in institutions (children's homes).

Families are referred to the COP program by an approved Social Worker and upone which our own Social Worker will do a need assessment to dertermine the genuineness of teh family to receive the assistance.  Once it is determined that the family is indeed in need of help, counselling takes place to explain their responsibilities.  There are very strict guidelines that the family has to adhere to, to continue to receive the COP assistance.

Complete outline of the COP along with Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), sample coupons, and sample COP card can be viewed at this link.
