community outreach program

Objective:  Is to extend assistance to help a family (with children) to remain united in their own community.

'Community Outreach program' or COP is a program that was started in 2008 on the principle of 'Sponsorship' in Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act in India.  COP is used to support the vulnerable families so that they don't break apart with the burden of disease, disability and distress.  We extend this assistance of Rs. 500/- (worth of groceries) each month so that the families can keep their children with thesemselves rather than keeping them in institutions (children's homes).

Families are referred to the COP program by the district CWC/ DCPU or approved Social Worker.  Afer receiving the referral, our Social Worker will do a need assessment to dertermine the genuineness of the family to receive the assistance.  Once it is determined that the family is indeed in need of help, counselling takes place to explain their responsibilities.  There are very strict guidelines that the family has to adhere to, to continue to receive the COP assistance.

If you belong to one of the above mentioned categories of referrers, kindly fill out this online form to refer a child in need of help.

If you like to help a family with your assistance of Rs. 250/- towards our gneneral fund, click here.  Your donation to the Hope House (at above given link) is entitled for a tax exemption receipt for donors in India (80G), US (501c3) and the UK (Gift Aid) which is given to you instantly via email.
